The LincSpun worsted spinning system is an innovative yarn manufacturing technology designed to enhance the performance, durability, and versatility of natural fibre yarns.
Developed as a retrofit system for existing worsted and ring spinning machinery, LincSpun enables spinners to produce high-performance yarns by combining staple fibres, such as Merino wool or wool blends, with selected filament or yarn components during the spinning process.
How it works
LincSpun creates a unique multi-component yarn structure. A drafted staple-fibre core is supported and bound by two wrapper components that are introduced during spinning. This controlled wrapping process helps produce a yarn with improved strength, stability, and surface performance while retaining the softness, comfort, and natural appeal of wool.
